The Social Studies Department offers a variety of courses designed to provide all students with a firm understanding of history with exposure to current, national, and world affairs. Students begin with an understanding of the global traditions and values of other people of the world and then move on to a study of American history and the United States' role on the world stage. Our elective courses emphasize the study of human behavior, and an analysis of the interrelationships of individuals as members of society. Through our course offerings, all students are actively engaged and developing skills in critical thinking, persuasive writing and informed citizenship.
